All good things...

As much as I wish my mother had continued writing in her diary until the end of 1946, she did not, and so Dot's daily diary entries will have to end around mid-October.

I am planning to add a sort of epilogue at that time. Probably some photos and a little, capsule summary of what transpired after that time, as well as my thoughts.

There's more to come—just wanted to get that out of the way.

Well, at least Dave's finally getting a move on -- I was beginning to think you were never going to get born.

Wow! I can't believe that is the end of Dot's Diary. It had become part of my morning routine for over a year. I am going to miss her. Can't wait to hear what happened to her in later years.

Thanks Dave, for sharing your mother's beautiful life.

  4. Unfortunately, I knew it had to end. But . . . such a kick reading about different times in a neighborhood we knew so well. I do hope there will be extensions of it, even if only occasionally. Maybe some updates on the neighborhood? Finally, what a great way to honor your mother.

  5. I'm really going to miss you and Dot- you've become a part of my every day, as well as my parents and aunt and a bunch of other people I know. They've loved re-living these years with Dot and I've loved learning about their youth through her. Thanks for doing it, and God bless you!
