It's sad that the ultimate fate of the lovely old Peoples theatre is a too-common one. From beautiful movie palace, to second-run house with "modern" marquee, to jury-rigged storefront, to vacant derelict, to heartless demolition, to... a Walgreens-or strip mall, parking lot.
